Amidst the 21-day lockdown, you all have been forced to stay indoors as you can only step out only in case of an emergency. You might be missing your normal gym sessions or workout sessions as people have been advised to practice social distancing and self-isolation to curb the spread of COVID-19 infections. People might be worried about their increase in weight by staying at the house where they are not exposed to any physical activities. During self-isolation, people fear about their binge eating habits as well as they feel they may gain a lot of weight by doing so.
However, you can always keep yourself motivated for weight loss at home by following these simple steps
- Make a diet plan: In order to lose weight, your first step should be to make a diet plan where you decide what things you should eat and what food items you should avoid. You should also take note that you eat your meals on time and follow the routine at home.
- Avoid Junk foods: No matter how much you want to eat, you must avoid eating junk foods as they can cause weight gain. Try to intake more fibre-rich diet in your routine as they not only cut your appetite but also keeps you healthy.
- Keep yourself hydrated: You must keep yourself hydrated as drinking plenty of water can save you from overeating and also keep you fit. Drinking lost of water will also cut down your food cravings as well. You can also sip in a juice, coffee or a black tea and stay hydrated.
- Perform yoga: You must include yoga in your day to day activity as it provides peace both to your mind and also helps in keeping your body healthy. You must make it a practice to practice yoga in the morning as it will help in reducing stress and also provide you relaxation. You can also watch online yoga tutorials as well.
- Eat proteins: You must include a lot of proteins in your breakfast as they help in metabolism and also makes sure you don’t feel hungry all day long.
- Set realistic goals: You must set a workout goal while you are staying at home and you must ensure that you follow this goal thoroughly. You must write down your goal and stick the note at a place where it is clearly visible. In this way, you can keep yourself healthy and motivated
- Sleep schedule: Make sure you follow a proper sleep schedule and sleep for more than 8 hours to keep yourself ft. Also, try to maintain consistency in your sleeping habits as it is an important key to a healthy life. Limit your screen timings before sleeping and make sure you don’t consume any caffeine before going to sleep.
